Antenna Design Engineer

The role involves Antenna and RF Electronics Design within the Antenna Systems Group at Marlow. Our products are primarily designed for aerospace applications to high specifications and involve exciting technical challenges.
You will have the opportunity to work with and be supported by, a group of highly committed, knowledgeable Engineers and to learn about the requirements of the aerospace environment and aircraft systems. We are looking for somebody who is dynamic and motivated, a team player with good communications skills, verbal and written and who doesn’t mind getting involved in all aspects of a project.
You will be working with a multi-disciplinary team on the design on the development of anti-jam antennas. The role covers the full development cycle from requirements analysis and management, concept studies, simulation, prototyping, build, through to qualification and production readiness.
You should possess the ability and willingness to learn about antenna theory and practice as well as the practical aspects of the aerospace environment. It would be of benefit to have some prior experience and an education to degree level in Electronic Engineering or a related subject.
It would also be useful if you had some familiarity with one or more electromagnetic solvers (CST MWS, FEKO, HFSS) and RF test and measurement equipment.
However, for the right candidate, training will be provided where required. We are committed to developing and retaining Engineers through ongoing development and training. Design, development, and test of radio frequency (RF), antennas, wireless network and/or microwave systems architecture, components, circuits, or products
The Engineering Team Member is responsible for applying domain expertise to the design, development and delivery new products processes and technologies. This role will contribute to the performance of the IPT to ensure that the performance expectations are met or exceeded.
The Engineering Team Member shall employ the appropriate discipline processes, practices and tools to ensure that responsibilities are completed to meet the required project requirements and discipline quality.
Application of, and compliance with, engineering processes and practices including the engineering framework, LCM and regulatory requirements. Collaboration with IPT members and peers to address project requirements within the BU and across the enterprise to share and learn best practice. Propose and develop new products and contribute to business winning technical proposals.
