Position: Associate Transport Planner

Location: Manchester

SalaryRange: £50,000 – £60,000

A position has become available for a Principal to Associate grade Transport Planner to join the Manchester-based team of a UK wide engineering & environmental consultancy. The company’s transport planning resource is currently led from Manchester, with additional teams based in the South West & South East.

Job Specification:

• Transport assessments & statements;
• Preliminary highway & junction design;
• Traffic data collection;
• Traffic flow analysis & junction modelling;
• Travel planning scheme development & delivery;
• Project management;
• Preparation of evidence for public inquiries;
• Mentoring & management of junior staff;
• Assisting in the development of new business;

Candidate Specification:

• Degree level education, MSc preferred;
• Extensive experience in transport planning;
• Excellent communication & presentation skills;
• Proficient with Junctions 8, Transyt, LinSig;
• Ambition to develop a team & reputation in the market;
• Creative & analytical working approach;

Working closely with the Divisional Director for Transport Planning, you will assist in leading & growing the team in Manchester, along with taking responsibility for project delivery. Along with this excellent opportunity to manage your own team, you will also benefit from:
