OVERVIEW:
•Local authority in Greater Manchester are looking for a Barrister, Solicitor or Legal Executive to join their Social Care Team
•The successful Lawyer will be responsible for providing advice on and conducting legal matters including those relating to employment law, local government prosecutions, civil claims, judicial review, private and public Children Act proceedings, education law and adult social care
•You will be expected to provide advice to officers and elected members and identify and provide training and development for staff where appropriate
•Applications are welcome from qualified Barristers, Solicitors or Legal Executives that boast knowledge in the aforementioned areas
• You will ideally have a minimum of 4 years PQE
•The Community and Litigation Lawyer must have knowledge of the Constitution and strategic aims and be able to advise upon them
•You will have excellent ability to work efficiently in a sensitive political environment and be able to work effectively when faced with a high volume and complex workload
