Our client is a nationally recognised and respected UK based consultancy specialising in delivering engineering and environmental services to projects to major clients worldwide. Their client footprint within the UK includes major infrastructure, blue chip organisations through to residential & commercial development and they have increased this via acquisition within the UK over the last few years. Their approach to the market is one of ensuring technical excellence and mitigating risks for their clients by using innovative modelling and investigation. This approach ensures a ‘trusted advisor’ relationship with clients and has led to them gaining an enviable reputation in the market where they are considered to be one of the thought leaders in terms of technical excellence. Their service portfolio includes ground, groundwater and surface water investigation and risk assessment, modelling, design of impact mitigation, remediation design and strategic advice to support regulatory compliance and the best outcomes for client’s stakeholders and customers.
The Environmental division within the UK is now looking to capitalise on existing clients within the north west of the UK and an opportunity has arisen for an individual to play a leading role in further developing the environmental services division within this region. With some interesting and prestigious projects already secured as reference sites, this role would be to further develop internal and external relationships with existing clients and forge new partnerships to build on the credibility of the organisation in this sector. This is an important strategic hire for this organisation at an interesting point in their development in the market for an individual to join the management team at a senior level.
To work as part of the senior management team to further develop the environmental service team.
Emphasis would be placed on;
Identifying areas for development of business in client sectors, envisaged to be infrastructure and development
Further developing relationships within the group to identify new growth opportunities
Contributing to the senior management team strategic plan
Growing the environmental services team with the north west, based in any one of a number of offices including Manchester and Warrington.
Project Direction of major projects and ensuring continuity of business with major clients
The successful individual would likely have;
A technical understanding of ground engineering, geo-technical geo-environmental, contaminated land, remediation, hydrogeology or any similar land based discipline.
Have a track record in developing businesses, winning work and developing teams, and be connected within the North West.
