An exciting opportunity to join The University of Manchester’s award-winning research beacons campaign team has become available. We are seeking a proactive and innovative individual to join our dynamic team in the role of Communications and Marketing Manager with specialist responsibility for the energy research beacon.
You will play a key part in enhancing the University’s global reputation for research excellence and will have the responsibility of planning and managing marketing and communications activity for this high profile research theme, showcasing how Manchester is tackling global energy and environmental challenges through innovative and cutting-edge R&D solutions.
You will be the central point of contact for the marketing and communications of the energy beacon and involved in delivering a suite of activity across different channels, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
You will possess a good standard of education, normally to degree or HND level, and ideally combined with a professional marketing or communications qualification, excellent oral and written communication skills, IT skills and the aptitude and willingness to work with a high level of personal responsibility and initiative. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues across the University and externally is essential.
