The University of Manchester invites applications for the post of Research Associate, working on an NIHR-funded Programme Grant project, led by the University of Plymouth with the University of Manchester as one of the investigating sites. This post is to support the delivery of a project ” Dementia Person Aligned Care Team (D-PACT). The D-PACT programme aims to develop and evaluate a multidisciplinary complex intervention based in primary care for improving wellbeing and health related quality of life for people with dementia and their carers. The post is available for 37 months, available as soon as possible.
This position is based in the Division of Population Health, Health Services Research and Primary Care. You will be line-managed by Dr Paul Clarkson, Deputy Director, Social Care and Society at Manchester. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team across data collection sites in Manchester and Plymouth.
You will need a first or upper second-class honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant social science or health research discipline. Previous experience of collecting and analysing qualitative and quantitative data as part of a team is essential. Familiarity with feasibility studies prior to randomised trials would be desirable. A willingness to travel to sites (GP practices) to undertake data collection is required and a clean driving licence would therefore be desirable.
