We are seeking a Research Associate in Medical Statistics and Data Analysis to join the Obesity and Cancer Research Group, and the Manchester NIHR Biomedical Research Centre Cancer Prevention and Early Detection Theme, based at the Manchester Cancer Research Centre and The University of Manchester.
The position requires significant, relevant and up-to-date knowledge in the advanced statistical analysis of large health datasets to contribute to a research project ‘Development of a risk prediction tool for early cancer detection in patients with type 2 diabetes’, which has been funded by the National Awareness and Early Diagnosis Initiative – NAEDI (part of Cancer Research UK).
This is an exciting opportunity to advance research in the field of diabetes and cancer epidemiology and realise patient benefits through the models produced.
The post requires expertise in statistical analyses to support and drive research outputs and would be suitable for a research associate holding a PhD or equivalent in Statistics or a related field.
You will have the ability to work effectively within teams to achieve timely and valued objectives as well as a strong track record of substantial contributions to research achievements.
