Your new role
We are currently looking for SEN teachers to join Hays ready for September, on a part-time or full-time basis. You will be expected to plan, deliver and mark schemes of work which could be vocational, holistic or National Curriculum based, as well as provide feedback and evaluation on pupil progress. You may be expected to attend after-school or Multi Agency meetings with parents/carers/Social Services etc, or provide home school tutoring. Students ages range from 3 – 21, and their needs will vary dependant on the school.
What you’ll need to succeed
You need to be a qualified teacher with a PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status. References will be required showing you have experience of teaching students with SEN for at least 40 days in the last 2 years. Ideally you will have additional training such as TeamTeach; and have worked in an SEN/PRU/Hospital setting before, however this isn’t essential.
