Hays Specialist Recruitment – Further Education
Primary school in Coleford seeking a Teaching Assistant to start in September 2020 to support across Year 5&6
Your new company
This primary school is based relatively centrally in the Forest of Dean area and due to the impact of recent school closures, SLT has approached Hays seeking a Teaching Assistant to start in September and support across Upper KS2. The school is easily accessible via public transport and having worked with the school for a number of years, we have always received excellent feedback from staff placed here, with comments particularly made around the supportive nature of staff in the school.
Your new role
Joining the school in September 2020, you will work across Year 5 and Year 6 in this one form entry primary school and you will be responsible for supporting both pupils and class teachers. Responsibilities will include taking small groups of pupils for intervention particularly focused around SATS, working 1:! with some lower ability pupils and also working closely with SEN pupils. In addition to this, you will work closely with the class teacher to ensure that all lessons are accessible for all pupils and you will also assist with wall displays and during school trips.
What you’ll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position you will have previous Teaching Assistant experience and you will ideally have previously worked in Upper KS2. You will be available to start in September 2020 and willing to commit to a 1 year contract, therefore providing continuity for the pupils.
What you’ll get in return
In return, you will be paid a competitive daily rate and the guarantee of a contract for a full academic year. You will work closely with other teaching assistants, therefore allowing you to further develop your own teaching skills and experience and you will also gain access to any school wide training. Finally, your Hays dedicated consultant will support you and you will also join our Hays Refer a Friend Scheme where you could be entitled to receiving £250 in high street vouchers.
